A degree in geriatric care studies the aging process, including the physical and mental changes that occur during this time. These studies help individuals understand how to care for the elderly. Paramedic training programs train students in the skills needed to work as a paramedic. This includes skills such as administering medication, providing emergency medical treatment, and transporting patients to the hospital.
